in situ is a tribute to the effect and necessity of community in our daily lives in creating a personal sense of belonging and security, as well as a dynamic and vibrant society. In this piece, this sense of community is grounded in the artists' personal language of femininity and collaboration as young Australian women. The exhibition comprises a performance installation piece alongside a collection of photograph and sculptural works. These two aspects represent the extroverted (performance) and introverted (photographs and sculptures) results of connections between individuals - through significant cultural, physical and emotional collaboration.
in situ will open in August 2020 at Top Gallery, Salamanca Arts Centre.
